Please tell me I’m wrong about this. Better still, please tell me I’m being stupid.

Apologies for using names of Filmstars and not character names.

What is the subject?

The humiliating defeat in the 1971 war convinced Pakistan that there is no way they can beat India in a face-to-face war. Therefore, Zia ul Haq formulated the strategy - Bleed India by a thousand cuts’

What is the story?

India took some time to adapt to the different kind of war that was thrust on us. Led by Indias’s finest sons, among them Shri Ajit Sanyal and his ‘Dhurandhar’ policy, India bloodied Pakistan’s nose. This is a fictionalized account of the events which unfolded between 1971 and 2016.

Who are the protagonists?

Shri Ajit Sanyal and his team supported by the govt. And Dhurandhar.

Who are the antagonists?

ISI, PPP and the underworld they supported including Rahman Dacait and others. Javed Khanani and his brother.

The film begins with a Title:

‘The humiliating defeat in the 1971 war convinced Pakistan that there is no way they can beat India in a face-to-face war. Therefore, Zia ul Haq formulated the strategy - ‘Bleed India by a thousand cuts’.

India took some time to adapt to the different kind of war that was thrust on us. Led by India’s’ finest sons, among them Shri Ajit Sanyal and his ‘Dhurandhar’ policy, India bloodied Pakistan’s nose.

This is a fictionalized account of the events which unfolded between 1971 and 2016.”

A few examples of how Pakistan’s ISI bled India, with clear links to Pakistan:

- Bomb blasts and terrorist activities

- Inciting communal riots

- Hawala

- Fomenting trouble in other ways

- Kandahar hijacking. Establish Ajit Sanyal Sir as an astute intelligence professional

-

Discussions with a worried govt. Ajit Sanyal Sir formulates the ‘Dhurandhar’ policy. The govt takes time.

Meanwhile Pakistan continues to bleed India. The govt gives a green signal to ‘Dhurandhar’.

Ajit Sanyal Sir and his asst meet Jaskirat Singh, who becomes ‘Dhurandhar’ played by Ranveer Singh. We see Jaskirat Singh’s back with the title ‘Jaskirat Singh’.

They give Jaskirat Singh the context:

- Lyari as among the poorest of Pakistan’s areas.

- PPP and its cultivations of the underworld – Rahman Dacait, Babu Dacait and others. Rakesh Bedi’s character and his relation with Rahman Dacait established.

- Lyari as PPP's stronghold. PPP always wins from Lyari.

- ISI’s strong presence in this entire setting.

- The then Indian govt - "We cannot stop every bomb blast".

The camera turns around. Now we see Ranvir Singh with the title ‘Humza, etc..’ This name is replaced by ‘Dhurandhar’.

As titles appear, Ranvir Singh is being given training and then he makes his way to Pakistan.

Again, we cut back to Ajit Sanyal Sir briefing Ranvir Singh, “Tum Lyari jakar (Gaurav Gera’s character) se milego, aur Rahman Dacait ke gang mein ghusne ki koshish karoge.”

He connects with Indian operatives already working there. He manages to enter Rahman Dacait’s gang. Then the entire bit about Rahman Dacait – Rakesh Bedi – Ranveer Singh. Insert Sara Arjun for good measure.

Talk begins about planning for 26/11. This must be a long sequence to establish diabolical intent. ISI’s purchase of weapons from Rahman Dacait. Handing over weapons to Ajmal Kasab and others by Ranvir Singh.

Introduction of Javed Khanani and his brother. Fake currency with plates given by Indian minister and son.

The same is being discussed by Shri Ajit Doval and his team – “We have to wait till a favourable govt comes to power’.

26/11 and its celebration by ISI, PPP, Rahman Dacait, Javed Khanani

Establish no Indian response.

As of this moment, Pakistan has the advantage and seems to win the battle. India has its back to the wall.

Establish fake currency pumped in India and causing havoc. Meanwhile, Ranvir Singh plays his role in becoming a catalyst in Rahman Dacait’s elimination by SP Chaudhary Aslam Khan, Sanjay Dutt’s character.

We see Ajit Sanyal Sir at the range. As he fires, we see Rahman Dacait on the target blown off.

Some more scenes from Lyari.

The BJP govt comes to power in 2014. For the first time, Pakistan is worried. We see reactions of our Lyari characters.

The tide begins to turn for India.

Uri attack happens in Sep 2016. We'll show this from the POV of the Lyari gang, of which Dhurandhar Ranvir Singh is a part.

All our Lyari characters start facing flak internally. ISI is on the defensive.

Nov 2016. Demonetisation announced. Pakistan goes mad.

Javed Khanani commits suicide.ISI chief receiving a warning from higher ups. Rakesh Bedi pinned to the corner. Sort of like all the antagonists facing heat in some manner.

Ajit Sanyal Sir firing at the range, his voiceover takes over.

Ajit Sanyal Sir’s voiceover, “ Bleed India by a thousand cuts. When Zia Ul Haq formulated the strategy, Pakistan would have believed they have already won the war. Because how can you win a war when you can’t even see the enemy. Clearly, Pakistan underestimated the mettle of our heroes.

The End.

As End Credits appear, we show a visual recap of all our heroes involved in the operation, even the clerical staff in Ajit Sanyal Sir's office.
